Bitch of a Birthday

We found the defended NOT GUILTY. The only reason that we found him not guilty is because of a technical problem that we had with the date. We were thoroughly convinced of his guilt otherwise.

There were two people who would not have found him guilty. One was extremely careful. I respect him. The other would not be satisfied with any evidence as evidence. If you showed him a body with a bullet wound, he would have argued for an accident. There is no way we could have found the defended guilty. At best, we could have had a hung jury. If the judge had replied to one of our questions differently, we would have hung.

Dammit, it's my birthday and this was a terrible present.
