Grim Reaper

My daughter will be the Grim Reaper for Halloween. I'm terribly glad that I bought her that ice cream yesterday. There's something Biblical about the Grim Reaper saying, "You bought me an ice cream yesterday, so I'll skip over you."

The bread for this weekend, by my daughter's suggestion, was cinnamon swirl. It turned out nice, but needed a tighter roll. The crumb had a great soft fluff to it. The only real problem was leaving in the over for 90 minutes instead of 40. At 90, the crust gets really hard, but the crumb was still mighty tasty. Next week, I don't forget it in the oven.

My editor should be done with pass #2 on Double Jack any day now. I'm getting really close to pushing that thing out the door.

Gaming over the weekend was more Skyrim, with my daughter muscling in.

I'm almost done my book on WW1. My optimistic and naive review of the war was that it was an criminal waste of human life to fill the egos of ambitious generals. My more realistic view of it was that it was generational genocide.
