Weekend Wrap

We had a weekend, one without relatives. Although I'm sad to see them go, I'm also happy for a little predictability arriving back in my life.

The Friday night swim team pot luck faced a deluge, with the rain dropping heaviest when the pot luck was scheduled to start. Fortunately, we could move the food to the club house. Unfortunately, moving all the people to the clubhouse proved unmanageable. Sardines should be so tightly packed.

Saturday was a swim meet. DesignGirl did OK, but dropped a little in time. This meet was all the way up in Poolsville. On Saturday night, Marsha came by, bringing Asian fruit and some ice cream. She stayed for dinner and lots of good conversation. It had been a few years, so the visit was more than welcome.

On Sunday, we did church and pool.

I baked a loaf of whole wheat, but I did something wrong an it didn't rise correctly. My plan had been to do one rise, then bake with all its flaws to achieve maximum fluffiness. I believe that I added too much flour and then didn't correct with enough water. The bread will be edible, and I'll do another loaf next week.
