I'm still irked about not seeing the museum. The constant and never-ending shuffling of plans wears me down.
On Thursday, we went to see The Little Mermaid at the local children's theatre. This was the Anderson version. While I got bored with all the songs and dancing, I stood in awe of everything else. For lunch, we hit a good Japanese restaurant, got ourselves a table of good food, and ate ourselves silly. The kids then went to the park. In the evening, we played a rousing game of Life and gathered the family together for a last cookout and party.
Today, I had a headache, so I had to bail on the morning's fishing trip. Maybe there'll be some more playing by the cousins, then the in-laws are off to see Jenny's dad. The house will get quiet again. Some sense of sanity will return.
