Open Band

I had fun at Open Band last night. I was not in a very good mood, but by the end of the night, I had lightening up to just kinda icky. It was the 12th anniversary showing of the great flood video of 1989. (FYI, the parking lot washed out one contra dance - taking 40 cars with it. Do you know where that big gorge is in Glen Echo? The one that the river rolls through? Exactly.)

One of these days, I have to learn a few tunes: Nail That Catfish to a Tree, Father Murphy's, Bus Stop, and a few other. Really fun tunes, those.

I also tested the new weed wacker yesterday. It was very portable, a bit heavier than I like, and did a so-so job. I'll give it 2.5 stars.
