Improvising with Leftovers

Due to the strong possibility of rain coming through (and its failure to actually show up), we postponed our pool side picnic. That left Jenny flat-footed while needing to plant seeds. So, I took on dinner. My challenge was an assortment of stuff.

Oh, yeah, improvising. I missed you, improvising.

So, I made fried rice, tossed in a few stray spaghetti noodles, chopped stale peanuts, onions, scallions, cabbage, and tai fish sauce. Add an egg and some aging egg yolks, and we had a dinner. It worked, too.

I love leftover based cooking. It's like a crossword puzzle, only you get to eat your victory at the end.
