The time has come to start the autumn garden. Jenny is now planting seeds. I'm cleared out the back yard bed and turned it. I want to turn it once more before we plant.

The back yard bed had become overgrown with mugwart over the summer. That stuff sure grows fast, and its root system is something of an engineering miracle. There's no way I'm getting all the roots out.

Meanwhile, the rain keeps raining, so the grass keeps growing. We sure do have a whole lot of it.

My in-laws gave us an anniversary present, so we bought a gazebo. Jenny had wanted me to pick it up, but at 150 pounds and eight feet long, that wasn't happening. The shippers should have it here today or tomorrow. That will go into the side yard.
