Writer's Retreat

Jenny, my wife, went off to a writer's retreat with a few friends. She had a wonderful time in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania as a payiing guest of the Hightlight Foundation. She was treated to gorgeous food, nearly intravenous coffee, beautiful leaves, and absolutely no worries.

Meanwhile, I stayed home and minded my daughter, or my daughter minded me. You can't tell sometimes. We read copious Rescue Princess books, played some Tropical Skyrim, and generally amused ourselves as best as we could. Jenny had finished my edits, so I busily laid them in all week. There were many logical issues to fix as well, so they took time. At this point, I'm now to the last fifty pages of edits and my last few logical conumdrums. Dinner consisted of eating our way through the leftovers in the fridge.

Jenny arrives safely home last night, welcomed with bacon and a red bean bun. If that's not a good welcome home, I don't know what is.
