As I went through draft 2, I kept a beat sheat of beats that I dropped, so for draft #3, I'll be going in an putting in those missing beats.
I've also determined that I have much unhappiness with the ending. That can't get worked on until I develop the earlier beats and fill in some missing angst. I have a few characters and plot lines that need a stay/go decision. I either drop them or develop them. That will start next week. I'll have the weekend to think about it.
This draft is sitting at 45K words and I haven't even fluffed yet. As I tend to write a bit dense, fluffing is where I actually talk about stuff and keep the book from reading like dense, brown bread.
