Christmas #3

We went up to northern NJ for Christmas #3. The traffic up was horrific. Our four hour trip took seven hours. It seems that no one traveled on Thursday, they all waited for Friday instead. Seven hours for a four to five hour trip.

My mother-in-law gave us nut trees for Christmas. We'll get them planted in the spring.

I got involved in a fender bender in NJ. It could have been worse. Someone had tried to go around me when I tried to turn left, even though there wasn't room, and he didn't bothering slowing down. When I realized that I had to go right, because my left was "do not enter", he found himself in a bad place. Fortunately it was only a graze. Phew.

The drive home was also dreadfully sloggy. Seven hours back.

My MIL has a new kitty. He's a tuxedo cat. He didn't know what to make of us, being skittish, but when we all went to sleep in the office he knew what to make of us. We came there to sleep with him. So he joined us in bed on and off all night long. Nobody slept well, but we had lots of nice petting sessions.
