Grandparent Visit

Jen's Mom and Ed visited over the weekend. We went to Urban BBQ for Friday dinner.

I made a pineapple upside-down cake for dinner and served it warm. Oh-my-God, I've never had a warm one before. They are to DIE FOR. For the record, PUDCs take 40 minutes in our over.

The weekend saw much garden labor. I began the long and dreadful project of hacking weeds out of the fenceline. We're talking two years of growth, The mound of debris grows ever taller.

I finally got back on the project of handling a hatchet that dropped by the wayside in May. Yeah, May. I've fitted the handle, now I have to actually make the handle usable.

I downloaded an adventure game called "the Room". In it, you solve a series of puzzle boxes. Miss Dash is absolutely fascinated. It's a good visual adventure game, if a bit big. The thing takes up a huge chunk of my available app space on my Kindle.

While at iHop of Sunday morning, I noticed that they now have 55+ entres. The  noteworthy part is that they are more rational portion sizes than their counterparts. So I'm not 55+, but I am sure happy to have them. (I've got a few more years to go before 55+, but less than I like to admit.)
