It was back to ME1 for me last night.

Here's my average battle:

These battles are even WORSE when you have to go through cut-scenes to get to them. 

At least I got to an explorable planet last night. Yay, I could just roll around and shoot shit. There were even a few winnable fights before I died horribly (x25) again.

If this game is anything like SW:TOR, then it has convinced me that I should never, ever play a game like that, ever.
