Jenny's friend Karen could not get her computer to work right. Not only that, she had blabbed to Dell multiple times they just couldn't helpl her. The computer would start to boot up, but then go black. Her expensive PC was a doorstop. Eventually, Jenny pestered her into paying me.
Good thing that.
On assembling the PC, I noticed that she was running the monitor off a DVI-to-VGA converter. Bad thing that. I've seen them get confused too many times, trying to send a digital signal down the wire instead of switching to analog. So, I found a DVI cable and used that instead. Presto-chango, computer worked.
And Karen, she just paid for my new electric hand planer.
