The framerate was bad. This traced back to the Nvidia driver under Ubuntu. It was set for desktop mode and would not up-clock to game mode. So, I had to do a bit of minor hacking to get the graphics card up to speed. Now game moves nicer and the effects look far better.
I still have a few tech issues. If I run the game full screen, it locks the mouse. If I change the dual-screens to work like a single screen, then the game minimizes when I exit the primary window. So right now, I have to run the game windowed in order to use any other program, like a web browser, That reduces the size of the game, which isn't what I want. I'm getting old. Make the damned fonts bigger.
Playing the game for too long gives me eye strain.
Other than that, the game is about turning the crank. The story relieves the grind a little bit, but eventually I get annoyed and do something else, which is good because I don't want more eye strain.
