Skating with a 3-year-old is tough, especially as I am not a good skater to begin with.
On the writing front, I've wrote an ending for my outline draft for the next novel. That's 10k words and a basic plot. The job of this sketchy writing is to help me write an actual novel. My goal, this time around, was to solve more plot-oriented problems earlier. What also helped is that I had a far better comprehension of the rules that I developed, so I spent far less time going down blind alleys.
Also in writing, I'm reading through "The Shaman's Coat: A History of Siberian Peoples." It's an interesting read for a variety of reasons. Primarily, it turns out to be great texture fodder for the next book.
My working title is "Between Earth and Heaven."
