I've revamped my PC speaker system at work. I was going to tolerate cheapies, then I realized that I would listen to this far more than any other stereo that I had. So now I have a Pyle 40W mini-amp driving a pair of late-90's Bose 201's. The system now sounds much better, thank you. It certainly kicks the ass of any computer speaker system that I've ever used.
Given $$$, I could certainly arrange better. I don't have $$$.
I'll see if I can wire my remaining bookshelves to a subwoofer and get tolerable sound. That might work for the bedroom. That's good for an hour or two some nights. Cost = $0.
