Getting back turned into a trial.
First, the drive to the airport turned out far slower than we planned. The people gathering at the top of ridges and hills with beach chairs and coolers told me everything that I needed to know: air show. It was an air show. It was a BIG airshow at the airport we were heading to. Before we left, we saw both the Blue Angels and the Canadian air team. There were easily 10-15,000 people there.
Once we hit Newark, we hit thunderstorms. Our 5pm flight was canceled. The 7:15 flight took off at 10:30. So we drug our sorry asses home at a stupid hour and collapsed.
Today, we are doing laundry and housework.
