Columbus Day

Today was a US government holdiay in celebration of Columbus. That means that I had off. Yay.

I took my car to the shop. The clutch is kaput. Grrr. Bad car. (Come on, baby, reach ten years old.)

We went to see Corpse Bride. I generally enjoyed the film.

We hit the second hand stores. I found three dino books that I don't have. One is a narrative of the famous Central Asiatic expeditions. Cool stuff, that.

I've recently been listening to some audiobooks. The most recent one is 'lectures' on human pre-history. I used 'lecture' in loose terms. I'll call it a nice little overview of human pre-history. Lots of big talk, but not much meat. In case you don't know, I like my history very rare indeed.
