New Story

I'm scratching away at a new story idea. I found myself in a rut with these two gangsters pushing around my lead character. It was all going... well... predictably. I'm setting it in the 30's, and there was just this element that was missing.

Then I hit on something that clicked. The gangster says, "Hey, you seem like a nice guy. I've got this sister, see..." Yes, that's right, the gangster intends to set him up with his sister, like it or not. THAT little plot twist added more energy and momentup to this story idea than I could anticipate.

Another 20 or 30 such ideas, and I'll have another novel.
