No. I this is a "no win" statement that I can't work with. This is an "I win" statement.
Artists deserve a fair opportunity to earn money from their work (should they choose to pursue this path). They are not guarenteed to earn money from their work. They do not have an unlimited opportunity to make money from their work. Past a certain point, their work enters the public domain, per the US Constitution, and their fair opportunity is over.
"Lifetime + 95 years" does not constitute a fair opportunity.
That much said, we aren't talking about opportunity here. We are talking about control, which is a significantly different issue.
