Macbeth the Usurper

We went up to Mayfield, PA for the weekend. We stayed in Mayfield Manor, a B&B. Two sets of grandparents stayed there, too. Everyone had a good time visiting. The grandparents had a fun time visiting their granddaughter.

Mayfield is near Lancaster, PA. There's not much to see there. We did visit a vinyard and bought a few bottles of wine.

The little girl is getting her first tooth in. Wow. That is the signal for solid food.

The solid food comedy continued over the weekend. We ran into a little success today as she loves coffee cake. She ate more of that than anything recently. I doubt that it is full of perfect things, but at this point, who cares? She also enjoyed some watermelon. Yay. Two things for her.

Solid Food

One is supposed to introduce babies to thin food, and then work up to solids. One is supposed to introduce one ingredient at a time. One is supposed to give babies food from spoons, for food that they can eat themselves.

Carrot cake. My baby likes carrot cake.

I break the carrot cake up on my hand, then the baby slams her face into my hand.

It seems my baby is starting with the hard foods, then working into the softer foods.
