Macbeth the Usurper

Our cat blamed us for the last few days of rain. Meanwhile, he's become the gray snuggle monster.

I've caught up on the Battlestar Galactica commentaries with the help of the cat who must snuggle.

I did a big spate of leaf raking this weekend, as we are schedule for the leaf hooving machine this week.

As I was raking, I came up with an idea for redoing villains in the d20 system. In short, villains are designed as characters, not as encounters. C'mon people, this ain't cinema verite. Villains are just bowling pins set up to be knocked down. They only need enough to be challenging for one fight, and then they die a bloody death. So, spent much of the weekend expanding out that idea. Lots more writing to go.

I'm squirreling away money for a newer PC. Now I need to save my pennies. I was a Dell dual-core. One of those is faster, smaller, and quieter than my current PC. I may also opt for an Apple MacMini dual-core. Those are even smaller and quieter. Maybe in six months I'll have enough tucked away.

I keep thinking about novel writing month, and how I should bother to do something.

It took me many days to realize that novel writing week was a way to get people who aren't writing to write. I must be an idiot if I think I am not writing. Heck, not creating.

* Photography, a brand new hobby
* Converting the SRD (which itches that format itch)
* Three new game scenarios/worlds
* Multiple new other cool things
* A few more ideas for longish works
* This continuing blog
* A baby (perhaps my greatest creative work to date)

Yeah, it's been a Creative year for me.
