Video Cards

I did a little video card shopping yesterday. CompUSA succeeded in mislabeling or mispricing the first card that I selected. I was expecting $120 or so, and the checkout woman told me $188. Hmmm. That's a bit of a price difference. I went back and found a similar card running $99.

Star Wars Galaxies looks fabulous on the new card. Even with all the eye candy turned off, it still is hugely better than my previous card. The only trouble is, now that it's doing fancy stuff, the memory load has gone up. Need more RAM.

I also need a more ergonomic mouse. I am currently abusing my hands too much. They feel real nice, too.

Yesterday, my regular character was unavailable, so I tried a fighting character. This was much better for my hands. Most of the time, you are running to your next fight. That's easy on the hands. When playing a medic, I am always doing something with the mouse.

Meanwhile, I need to work on that foundation crack and the seal between the concrete pad and the house. How the hell to get the tar out? I tried the sawsall, but that didn't work out great. Next I will try the heat gun.
