We had a sick house over the last few days. Jenny and I came down with the bug. I was fortunate and only came up with a light case. A day off work and I'm fine.
I did get more tasks accomplished. I replaced the flap on the toilet. Hopefully it leaks even less down. I continued sanding down the ex-hole in the wall that is the remnant of the 70's whole house audio system. More incandescents have been replaced with LEDs.
I finally picked up Dragon's Age again and wrapped up the beginning. Similarities and synchronicities between my writing and this work have continued to surface. They have a character that's a very intelligent dog, but still a dog. Me too! They have a character that speaks very poetically. So do I! They have scheming dwarves. So do I!

Where are you getting your LEDs from? We may do a whole-house replacement when feasible. The light bills here at night might get enormous.
#1 is always better insulation. We already knew that we needed attic insulation.
#2 We already have double-paned windows, but we're getting from the framing, so they need to get resealed.
#3 We're getting cold at the ceiling joints, so the tops of the walls need some extra sealing.
#4 [Completed in September] The fridges that came with the house were ancient. We replaced two fridges with one modern efficient fridge.
#5 Our furnace stinks. It's on its last legs.
Weirdly, Jenny has identified that our gas usage is FAR worse than our old house. Something is going on. Either something is sucking down absurd amount of gas from a pilot light, or we have a leak, or the water heater is for beans.
We really gotta get these bills down because we are literally bleeding money. Our finances are a joke.
Our "on demand" hot water heater is gas-fired, AND first-generation. It may be necessary to replace it. Plus, we're always either freezing or getting scalded when we shower. :/
Not sure I like the gas stove either, the only thing I can smell when I'm cooking is the gas burning. >.< :P :P :P
Our inspector said we needed more insulation blown into the attic over the garage, but we haven't done that yet. A lot of what I want to do to THIS place has to wait until we sell the OLD place, and who knows how long that will take?
